What's on NCVER calendar of winter events
The National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER) will host a number of events this winter focusing on apprenticeships and traineeships, VET workforce development, and practitioners’ experiences with the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAA40104).
In mid June, Dr Tom Karmel, the NCVER Managing Director, will present a national webinar on the impact of apprentices and trainees wages on their decision to continue with their training.
A week later in Adelaide, Berwyn Clayton and Hugh Guthrie will share their findings from their work and other research on VET teacher training at Research on Toast.
In July, NCVER will host its annual, national conference ‘No Frills’ in Perth. This event presents an excellent opportunity for those who are new and established in the VET sector to showcase their research in an informal, collegiate environment.
The next webinar in NCVER’s series will take place in August, with Berwyn Clayton presenting ‘TAA ... the friendly way?’, based on findings into practitioners’ expectations and experiences with the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
