Skills First RPL Assessor Kits

Queensland's Department of Education and Training’s Skills First initiative concluded on 30 June 2009.

Several of the Skills First RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) Assessor Kits will be updated over the coming months. The updates will be contained in training package kits rather than qualification kits within the following:

  • Business Services Training Package (BSB07)
  • Community Services Training Package (CHC08)
  • Construction, Plumbing & Services Integrated Framework Training Package (CPC08)
  • Resource Industries Training Package (RII09)
  • Tourism, Hospitality and Events Management Training Package (SIT07).

These updated kits should be available by 31 January 2010 on the VET PD website.

Assessors are encouraged to continue to use, amend and improve the existing RPL Assessor Kits to meet training package reviews, client needs and changes in industry terminology and technology.

Together with the RPL Assessor Kits, the VET PD website also contains useful RPL fact sheets and professional development resources developed to assist training organisations to improve business and meet AQTF compliance.

To access the RPL Assessor Kits and the associated templates, visit www.vetpd.qld.gov.au/teaching_learning_and_assessment/resources/rpl/index.html (Select ‘Skills First RPL Assessor Kits’.)
