The Australian Training Awards are the peak, national awards for vocational education and training, recognising innovation and excellence in the training sector.
The Australian Training Awards are the culmination of the state and territory awards with winners from each state and territory competing in the national finals.

The Australian Training Awards judging starts at the state/territory level. The judging criteria for state/territory and national awards are aligned and candidates for the Australian Training Awards have already demonstrated levels of excellence against these criteria by winning state/territory training awards in their relevant category. (For the national Employer of the Year award, employers can enter at their state or territory level but can also enter directly at the national level as long as they are delivering nationally recognised training in four or more states or territories.)
Winners of eligible state/territory award categories are invited to apply to the Australian Training Awards soon after the completion of the state/territory awards.
