Our policy supports the privacy principles as specified in the Commonwealth Privacy Act 1988. These relate to how information is collected and stored, and how it is used.

Data collection

We collect personal information in order to distribute copies of the national publication Training Packages @ Work to people who wish to receive it. We may also use the publishing system to distribute information about vocational education training matters the national editorial committee believes may interest you.

An email contact is mandatory and additional details are also required to maintain currency, and to allow the editors to collect readership statistics, which are reported to the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations and state and territory training authorities.

Data disclosure

Any personal information collected will be used only for the purposes specified above.

The national editor of Training Packages @ Work manages the database of subscriber details. Each state editor has access to the personal details of those subscribers who choose to receive information from that state or territory. This allows them to produce statistical reports and maintain data currency.
